Afraid you'll miss something on placement?
Early warning scores, which blood result matters, what to watch after surgery. You don't want to keep asking your preceptor.

Frequently asked questions
Who is it for?
Student nurses on NMBI-approved programmes in Ireland (General, Children's and General Integrated, Mental Health and Intellectual Disability Nursing), students on their fourth-year internship and newly qualified nurses in their first months on the ward. It covers the core adult theory that every discipline is taught in the first years.
Is it the American NCLEX stuff?
No. There's no NCLEX content and no American units: blood results in SI units (mmol/L, micromol/L, g/L, kPa) and the drug names you see on the kardex (paracetamol, adrenaline). The Ireland section at the end covers the NMBI, the HSE, INEWS compared with NEWS2, ISBAR3, the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 and lab units.
Does it match my college's exams?
The topics are the core theory taught on nursing degrees in Ireland. Every college has its own modules and assessments, so use the book as your base and add your own lecture notes.
Is anything posted to me?
No. It's a digital book (PDF), so nothing is posted. You get it by email straight after you pay, with the 3 gifts.
Can I read it on my phone?
Yes. The PDF opens on any phone, tablet or computer, with bookmarks for every chapter. You can also print it.
Does it replace my textbook or hospital policy?
No. It's a study book. On placement you always follow the prescription, your preceptor and your hospital's policies, procedures and guidelines. Reference ranges vary between laboratories.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and it's yours to keep.
What if it doesn't help?
Read it. If it doesn't help you within 30 days, send us one email and we'll refund you in full. No questions.
